Frequently Asked Questions.

Is everything included in the price? Yes, the price you see is the price you pay. Our fully equipped vans include all your bedding, towels, and a 6kg gas bottle. We don't charge extra for bike racks, outdoor chairs, or an additional driver.

Is there a mileage limit? We don't have a mileage limit, but we encourage you to book enough days to enjoy your break. We suggest 10 days for the NC500, as your first and last days can cover a lot of ground. Cornwall is another long drive, when an eight-hour road trip isn't unusual. So whether you are touring the Peak District or beyond, we've got you covered.

Is there a minimum hire period? We have a three-day minimum hire period, except in July and August, when it is seven days. We sometimes get short breaks available during the summer; you will find them on the availability calendar if they become available.

What time can I collect and return my van? We start collections at 09:30 and operate hourly slots throughout the day, with the last collection at 16:00. All vans must be returned by 10:30 on the final day of hire, and we recommend staying within an hour of Buxton to avoid rushing.

Are the campers pet friendly? Yes, absolutely. It's a maximum of two per van, and we ask that all paws stay on the floor, being mindful that the seats make up the extra beds for other guests.

Can we visit Europe in a motorhome? Unfortunately, we have to say no. We have a small fleet, and any hold-up re-entering the country could affect another person's holiday, so we are UK mainland only.

Can we leave the car with you? You are very welcome to leave your car. Our parking is off the road.

How will I know how the van works? When you come to collect your van, Leigh will walk you around your van, showing you where everything is and how it all works. Once on board, you will find detailed instructions with colour photos to refer to, and 24-hour telephone support is available while you are away to ensure a smooth experience.

How much is the damage deposit? The damage deposit is £1000 pre-authorised on a credit or debit card. It will hold for 7-10 days. We know accidents happen. Let us know as soon as you can, and we'll do our best to repair all minor damage at the lowest possible cost. We do as many repairs in-house as possible and will inform you of any costs involved ASAP. Fully comprehensive insurance is included as standard to cover you in the event of an accident, and we'll do everything we can to support you.

Is breakdown cover included? We've got you covered; all our vans have breakdown cover, and Mark is always happy to answer any mechanical queries.

Can I drive any motorhome on a standard car licence? Yes, all our vans are under 3.5 tonnes and can be driven on a standard licence. It is your responsibility to assess your own ability and confidence in driving a large vehicle, and you may choose a slightly smaller van for your first trip out. We are, of course, on hand to provide guidance and advice if needed. We want your holiday to be as stress-free as possible.
